Naresh Chaturvedi, IAS, Additional Secretary & Financial
Adviser, Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion,

Limited. He is a Indian Administrative Services Officer (West
Bengal) from the 1970 batch.
He
is a Postgraduate in Science and also holds a law degree. A
recipient of Government scholarship throughout his education,
his academic achievements include a Gold Medal in Physics and
the Chancellors medal for the best all round student.
During
thirty three years of professional experience as member of the
Indian Administrative Service, he has had the opportunity to
be associated with diverse aspects of administration and
financial management and has worked in different parts of the
country in various capacities.
Over
the period he has among other positions served as Managing
Director of Food Corporation of India, Secretary to the
Governor of West Bengal, Director General, Food, &
Ex-Officio Principal Secretary of Food & Supplies
Department Govt. of West Bengal, Principal Secretary,
Fisheries Dept., Govt. of West Bengal, Special Secretary, Home
Dept., Govt. of West Bengal, and as Excise Commissioner of
Govt. of West Bengal and Govt. of Uttar Pradesh.

Shri
A. Didar Singh aged 52 years is an IAS officer of 1976 batch
from Punjab cadre. Before joining as Joint Secretary in
the Ministry of Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises,
Govt. of India (in Jan 2003), he was a Secretary in the
State Govt. where he has held several positions as Head
of Department in the departments of Industry, Tourism, Finance,
and Health etc. He also has hands on experience in management
of PSEs having held charge as Managing Director of 5 State
level Public Enterprises in the areas of Electronics, Textiles,
Cement and Tourism. He was earlier a Joint Secretary in
the Ministry of Commerce, Govt. of India and was prior to
that posted as a First Secretary in the Indian Consulate
in New York, USA.
Shri
Didar Singh has a Masters Degree in Development Administration
from the University of Birmingham, UK and is presently doing
a PhD. in Electronic Commerce from Punjab University. Shri
Didar Singh is an international expert in E-Commerce and
International Trade and has done research studies for several
international agencies including International Trade Center,
UNCTAD, WHO and ILO, Geneva, as well as the Commonwealth
Secretariat, London. Shri Didar Singh has several publications
to his credit including a book on E-Commerce. |

Shri R. ASOKAN, Director (Finance), Ministry of Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises is an Officer from the Indian Cost Accounts Service (ICAS). A Post Graduate in Commerce and Associate Member of the Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India, he has undergone training in the field of Project Appraisal and Management at Strathclyde Graduate Business School, Glasgow (U.K).
Shri R. ASOKAN has a vast and rich experience both in Public Sector Enterprises and Government Departments. He has served for nine years in Neyveli Lignite Corporation Ltd, a leading Public Sector Enterprise during the initial period of his career. During the last 17 years, he has served in various departments like Department of Economic Affairs, Department of Expenditure, Bureau of Industrial Costs & Prices, Tariff Commission, Department of Company Affairs (Cost Audit Branch), Department of Fertilizers etc. and gained excellent knowledge and experience in the areas of evolving policies, Cost and Financial Management, Administration etc.
